Badaun, Uttar Pradesh: A devastating road accident unfolded in the Bisauli area of Badaun district on Monday afternoon, claiming the lives of three cousin brothers and leaving another youth critically injured. The horrific collision occurred around 2:30 PM near Madanjudi village when a fast-moving school van collided head-on with a motorcycle carrying four friends.
The deceased have been identified as 19-year-old Nikhil alias Nitin, 20-year-old Rohan, and 18-year-old Rishabh, all residents of Hatsa village and cousins to one another. Their friend, 18-year-old Shiva, sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to the district hospital after receiving initial medical attention. Shiva had recently achieved a major personal milestone by getting selected for the Indian Armed Forces under the Agniveer scheme. The four friends were traveling together to Bisauli town on a single motorcycle to fetch medication for Shiva. The motorcycle was being driven by Rohan, who had purchased the vehicle just two months prior.
The force of the impact was so intense that the motorcycle was completely crushed. Local police authorities reported that basic safety protocols were entirely compromised during the journey, as four individuals were riding on a single bike without wearing protective helmets. Police officers quickly arrived at the scene, sent the bodies for post-mortem analysis, and initiated a detailed investigation into the crash to establish official accountability.
News of the sudden tragedy sent shockwaves through Hatsa village, plunging the entire community into deep mourning. The recent celebratory mood surrounding Shiva’s selection into the military transformed into immense grief within moments. Relatives and neighbors gathered at the victims’ homes in utter disbelief, grieving the sudden loss of three young lives from a single family.
