Five Palestinians were reported dead on Monday, November 2, amid continued Israeli attacks across Gaza. Palestinian health authorities say at least 1,593 people have been killed since the US-brokered ceasefire began in October 2025.
Israeli forces carried out multiple attacks across the Gaza Strip on Monday, killing four Palestinians. Meanwhile, a fifth Palestinian died from injuries sustained in an earlier Israeli attack.
The latest violence comes despite the ceasefire that took effect in October 2025. Thousands of displaced Palestinians also continue to face difficult living conditions as winter approaches.
Strike on Vehicle Kills Palestinian in Gaza City
One of Monday’s deadly attacks targeted a vehicle in the Tal al-Hawa neighbourhood of northern Gaza City.
According to the Palestinian news agency Wafa, the strike killed Hani Hamed Kahil and wounded five other people.
The Israeli military said it had targeted Palestinian fighters in three separate strikes. However, it did not provide further details about the operations.
Fifth Palestinian Dies From Earlier Injuries
Another Palestinian, Youssef Abu Younis, died on Monday from injuries sustained during an Israeli attack on a police post in al-Mawasi on Sunday.
His death brought the reported Palestinian death toll for Monday to five.
At least five Palestinian police officers were also killed in the Sunday attack, according to earlier reports. The latest deaths add to the growing number of casualties reported since the ceasefire began.
Community Kitchen Minibus Hit in Gaza City
Elsewhere, an attack in Gaza City’s Zeitoun neighbourhood wounded three Palestinians on Monday.
The strike hit a minibus belonging to a community kitchen. Such facilities play an important role in providing food to families struggling with shortages and displacement.
The incident has raised further concerns about the safety of humanitarian and community services operating across the territory.
Nearly 1,600 Palestinians Killed Since Ceasefire
The Palestinian Ministry of Health says Israeli attacks have killed at least 1,593 Palestinians since the US-brokered ceasefire took effect in October 2025.
The ministry has also reported 5,748 injuries during the same period.
Overall, Palestinian health authorities say Israel’s war on Gaza has killed at least 74,609 Palestinians and wounded 175,872 people.
These figures reflect the toll reported by the Palestinian Ministry of Health.
Displaced Families Face Winter Without Adequate Shelter
The latest attacks come as humanitarian organisations and local authorities work to arrange shelter for displaced Palestinians ahead of winter.
Many families have lost their homes and continue to live in temporary shelters. Consequently, access to safe housing, food, clean water and medical care remains a major concern.
Despite the ceasefire, continued attacks and mounting casualties have raised fresh questions about the security situation in Gaza.
The latest incidents underline the fragile nature of the truce, while displaced families face another difficult winter.
