Amid the ongoing buzz surrounding his upcoming projects like ‘Drishyam 3’, Bollywood superstar Ajay Devgn has found himself embroiled in administrative and legal trouble. The Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has taken strict action against alleged unauthorized construction at his luxurious bungalow situated in Mumbai’s upscale Juhu neighborhood, demolishing the illegal alterations.
According to reports, the demolition drive was carried out at his sprawling 7,802-square-foot bungalow located in the Kapole Co-operative Housing Society in Juhu. The BMC alleged that several structural modifications were being executed inside the premises without obtaining the requisite municipal permissions. These unauthorized changes reportedly included internal alterations, the erection of partition walls, and the construction of new windows.
Taking serious note of the violations, the civic body had previously issued a notice under Section 354A of the Mumbai Municipal Corporation Act. The notice directed an immediate halt to the construction work and mandated the submission of the necessary official approvals. However, following complaints that the construction continued unabated despite the official warning, a BMC team arrived at the site and manually dismantled the unauthorized sections using hammers and other demolition equipment.
The administrative action against the prominent actor’s residence has left fans surprised. As of now, neither Ajay Devgn nor his legal team has released an official statement regarding the BMC’s demolition drive.
