A chilling and gruesome crime has rocked the Hardoi district of Uttar Pradesh. Late Wednesday night, in the Islamnagar Tiliya locality under the Kotwali city police jurisdiction, a man brutally murdered his sleeping wife over suspicions regarding her character. In a fit of rage, the accused slit his wife’s throat with a knife, with the attack being so vicious that her head was entirely severed from her body. Following the horrifying incident, local police took swift action and arrested the accused husband.
Couple Resided in a Rented Home
According to preliminary details provided by the police, the victim has been identified as 28-year-old Nagma. She had been married to the accused, Parvez, for approximately 12 years, and the couple originally hailed from the city’s Wetganj locality. Police investigations and local inquiries revealed that after a family property division, Parvez sold his ancestral house. For the past month and a half, the couple had been living in a rented accommodation owned by a man named Mahtab in Islamnagar Tiliya.
Fatal Suspicion Over Phone Calls
The primary motive behind this heinous murder stems from Parvez’s deep-seated suspicion about his wife’s fidelity. During police interrogation, it emerged that Parvez suspected Nagma of speaking to another man on the phone. This ongoing suspicion resulted in frequent, bitter domestic disputes between the couple. The conflict reached a tragic climax on Wednesday night. Following an escalated argument, a deranged Parvez grabbed a knife and committed the gruesome act at around 1:30 AM while Nagma was fast asleep.
Upon receiving information about the crime, the local police immediately rushed to the scene. They recovered the blood-soaked body and sent it to the district hospital for a post-mortem examination. The accused husband is currently in police custody and is facing strict interrogation as authorities conduct a comprehensive investigation into the case.
