Actor Sooraj Pancholi has issued a detailed statement on Instagram, firmly denying any involvement in the death of celebrity manager Disha Salian. His response follows the registration of a fresh FIR by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) under the directives of the Bombay High Court.
CBI Probe and High Court Directives
Acting on the Bombay High Court’s orders, the CBI filed a new FIR on Monday regarding the death of Sushant Singh Rajput’s former manager. The court questioned why the Mumbai Police initially filed only an Accidental Death Report (ADR) despite murder allegations from the family, and why the postmortem report was withheld from them for years. Following the court’s intervention, Disha’s father, Satish Salian, requested the investigation of several high-profile names, including Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray, former Maharashtra CM Uddhav Thackeray, Sooraj Pancholi, Dino Morea, Rhea Chakraborty, and Showik Chakraborty.
Sooraj Pancholi’s Clarification
Taking to social media, Pancholi expressed frustration over his name being dragged into the controversy without evidence. He highlighted the following points:
- No Connection: He stated unequivocally that he has never met or interacted with Disha Salian or Aaditya Thackeray in his entire life.
- Prior Interrogation: Pancholi reminded the public that he had already been questioned by the police and the CBI 4–5 years ago, and his official statement is on record.
- Full Cooperation: Asserting that he has “nothing to hide,” he welcomed a fair, in-depth CBI probe and offered his full cooperation to the investigating agencies.
- Calling Out Media: He strongly criticized “malicious propaganda and false narratives,” stating that sensational headlines and TV debates do not equate to actual evidence.

Disha Salian died under suspicious circumstances on June 8, 2020, just days before the tragic passing of actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
