A minor dispute over a boundary wall and car parking escalated into a fatal shootout in the Naubasta area of Saadatganj, Lucknow, on Monday morning, resulting in the deaths of three individuals. The prime accused, identified as Rishabh Shukla, lost his temper during a heated argument with his neighbor, Shiv Tiwari, and resorted to indiscriminate firing.
Swift police action prevented further escalation. Constable Kartik, who reached the scene unarmed upon receiving the information, chased down the armed accused and successfully apprehended him along with the weapon. According to DCP West Jitendra Kumar Srivastava, two victims died on the spot from gunshot wounds, while the third succumbed to injuries during medical treatment.
Following the arrest, the police recovered the pistol used in the crime. Authorities are currently investigating whether the firearm was legally licensed or illegal, and are conducting a detailed probe to ensure strict legal action against the accused.
