Colin Munro hits century against St Kitts & Nevis, equals Gill and Suryakumar’s tally

Basseterre (St Kitts and Nevis):
Veteran Trinbago Knight Riders batter Colin Munro lit up the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2025 with a sensational knock against St Kitts and Nevis Patriots. The left-hander hammered 120 runs off just 57 balls, bringing up his sixth T20 century and drawing level with India’s Shubman Gill and Suryakumar Yadav, who also have six T20 tons each.

Munro’s innings came in Game 4 of CPL 2025, powering Knight Riders to a massive 231 in the first innings. His 120 is now the third-highest individual score in CPL history, behind Brandon King’s unbeaten 132 and Andre Russell’s 121*. The veteran’s explosive batting set the tone for Knight Riders’ eventual 12-run victory.

Chasing 232, the Patriots fought hard and reached 219, but a four-wicket spell from Usman Tariq sealed the win for Knight Riders.

Munro on His Match-Winning Knock

Named Player of the Match, Munro reflected on his innings at the post-match presentation.
“Hit a lot of balls indoors. Just trying to hit the ball as cleanly as I can. It’s always nice to contribute to a win. Shot selection was key—trying not to premeditate too much. The team has been very welcoming; it feels like brotherhood. The celebration was partly for my family, partly to release some frustration,” Munro said.

With this knock, Munro not only cemented his place among the CPL’s all-time great performers but also matched two of India’s modern-day batting stars on the global T20 centuries chart
