Pakistan has once again launched an airstrike on Afghan territory, triggering widespread condemnation and escalating tensions between the two nations. According to reports from local Afghan authorities, at least 10 civilians — including nine children — were killed in the bombing, while four others sustained serious injuries. The strike allegedly targeted border villages, leaving families devastated and homes destroyed.
Eyewitnesses stated that the attack occurred without warning, causing panic among residents who were caught completely off guard. Local officials claim that the victims were all civilians and that no militant activity was reported in the area at the time of the strike. Images and videos emerging from the region show damaged homes and grieving relatives, intensifying anger against Pakistan’s actions.
The Taliban-led Afghan government condemned the attack, calling it a “clear violation of sovereignty and international law.” Authorities demanded an immediate explanation from Islamabad and warned that such aggression would worsen bilateral relations, which are already strained due to repeated border clashes.
Pakistan, however, has not yet issued a detailed statement regarding the strike. In previous incidents, Islamabad has justified its actions by alleging the presence of anti-Pakistan militant groups operating from Afghan soil. Afghan officials have dismissed these claims, saying Pakistan is using them as an excuse to target innocent civilians.
International observers are urging both nations to exercise restraint, warning that continued hostilities could lead to a larger regional conflict. Human rights groups have also called for an independent investigation into the deaths, stressing that attacks harming children and non-combatants amount to grave violations of humanitarian norms.
As tensions rise, residents along the border fear further violence, while global attention shifts once again to the volatile Afghanistan–Pakistan frontier.
