A brave gang-rape survivor in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district pushed past police barriers to personally urge a senior officer for justice, in a confrontation captured on video that’s now exploding across social media. The footage shows her determination amid growing outrage over delays in nabbing the remaining attackers.
Survivor’s Bold Stand Against Obstruction
The woman, assaulted by six men just days ago, arrived at the local police station seeking a meeting with Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Akhilesh Singh. Reports indicate both male and female officers blocked her path, citing protocols. Unfazed, she broke through and reached the DIG’s office, where she pleaded for urgent action to arrest the two absconding suspects.
Out of the six accused, four have already been apprehended and remanded to judicial custody. The victim highlighted the need for swift captures to prevent further threats, emphasizing her family’s safety. The incident, occurring in a rural pocket of Bulandshahr, has spotlighted concerns over women’s access to high-ranking officials in sensitive cases.
DIG’s Assurance and Intensified Probe
DIG Singh listened intently and promised full support, stating that specialized teams are scouring leads on the fugitives. “We are working round-the-clock to ensure all perpetrators face the law without delay,” he assured her, per station sources. Authorities have ramped up surveillance in nearby areas, including vehicle checks and informant networks, to close the net.
The viral clip, shared widely on platforms like X and Instagram, has garnered over 500,000 views in hours, sparking calls for faster investigations and better victim protections. Activists and locals are rallying online with #JusticeForBulandshahrSurvivor, demanding a time-bound FIR update.
This case adds to Uttar Pradesh’s troubling tally of gender-based violence reports in 2025, with police vowing zero tolerance. The survivor, now under protective custody, awaits closure as the hunt continues.
