Rahul Gandhi Insecure of Youth Talent in Congress, Says PM at NDA Meet

PM Modi Tells NDA Leaders: Young Congress Leaders Being Held Back by ‘Family Insecurity’

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a tea meeting with NDA leaders, said several young leaders in the Opposition, especially the Congress, were “very talented” but were not given opportunities to speak because of what he termed as “family insecurity.” According to sources, he added that their presence may be making Rahul Gandhi feel “insecure and nervous.”

The meeting was attended only by ruling alliance leaders, with no Opposition members present. PM Modi also described the recently concluded Parliament session as productive, highlighting the passage of key bills.

He particularly praised the Promotion and Regulation of Online Gaming Bill, 2025, calling it a “reform with far-reaching impact” that directly concerns the public. The legislation, passed on August 20, introduces strict penalties for money-based online games, their promoters, and individuals violating the law.

While hailing the Bill, PM Modi criticised the Opposition for avoiding debate on such crucial issues, accusing them of engaging only in “disruptions.” Sources said he expressed disappointment over Opposition MPs tearing up copies of three contentious bills tabled by Union Home Minister Amit Shah, which seek temporary removal of Prime Ministers and Chief Ministers arrested on serious charges.

Meanwhile, the All India Gaming Federation (AIGF) has written to Home Minister Amit Shah seeking urgent reconsideration of the Online Gaming Bill, warning that a blanket ban could severely damage the gaming sector.
