Akhilesh Yadav Slams BJP Over Bihar Poll Results: ‘SIR Game Won’t Work in UP, Bengal Now—Plot Exposed, PDA Will Foil BJP’s Schemes’

Akhilesh Yadav, Samajwadi Party (SP) chief, unleashed a sharp attack on the BJP following the Bihar Assembly Election 2025 results, accusing the ruling party of electoral manipulation via Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of voter lists. As NDA surges to leads in 190+ of 243 seats, Akhilesh warned on X (formerly Twitter) that this “game” won’t fly in Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, or elsewhere, vowing SP and PDA (Progressive Democratic Alliance) will act as vigilant “PDA Sentinels” (PPTV) to thwart BJP’s “deceptive” plans. The statement comes amid Mahagathbandhan’s collapse to around 50 seats, with key losses for Tejashwi and Tej Pratap Yadav.

Akhilesh’s Fiery X Post: Exposing ‘Electoral Conspiracy’

In a post amid NDA’s landslide, Akhilesh wrote: “The game SIR played in Bihar won’t happen in West Bengal, Tamil Nadu, UP, or elsewhere now because this electoral plot stands exposed. From now on, we won’t let them play this game. Like CCTV, our ‘PPTV’—PDA Praharis—will stay alert to foil BJP’s intentions. BJP isn’t a party; it’s deceit.” He branded SIR—a two-decade-first voter list overhaul—as BJP’s tool for tampering, targeting opposition voters.

This echoes Akhilesh’s prior SIR critiques. Recently, he vowed SP would approach the Supreme Court over Aadhaar’s role in revisions, citing unclear 2003 voter rolls. “We won’t let PDA votes be cut,” he asserted. Pre-poll, he dismissed exit polls as BJP “tricks,” predicting Mahagathbandhan victory—now shattered by trends.

Opposition Turmoil: Protests and Defiance in Bihar’s Wake

Bihar’s verdict has sparked chaos in opposition ranks. Congress workers in Delhi protested outside party HQ with “Vote Theft” posters, while AAP MP Sanjay Singh alleged rigging. Mahagathbandhan leaders like Imran Masood and Pappu Yadav insist a coalition government will form, despite trailing badly. NDA leaders, however, hail it as a “good governance” triumph, crediting Nitish Kumar’s JD(U)-BJP alliance.

Akhilesh’s remarks signal a broader opposition strategy for upcoming polls in UP (2027) and Bengal (2026), where SP eyes SIR-like processes. Analysts see it as a bid for unity, but NDA’s Bihar sweep—JD(U) at 80 leads, BJP at 82—bolsters BJP’s national edge.
