Patna: The Mahagathbandhan (INDIA bloc) unveiled its election manifesto titled ‘Tejashwi Ka Pran Patra’ on Monday. Leader of Opposition Tejashwi Yadav, the alliance’s declared CM face, launched it with top leaders from RJD, Congress, Left parties, VIP, and others.
Tejashwi called it a “vision document to make Bihar India’s No. 1 state”. “We have a roadmap. We take a pledge – even if we have to give our lives, we will fulfill it,” he said.
Key Highlights of ‘Tejashwi Pran’
| Promise | Details |
|---|---|
| 1 Job Per Family | Every household will get at least one government job. “Budget is not your worry – we delivered in 17 months last time.” |
| Old Pension Scheme | Restored for all government employees. |
| Social Security Pension | Increased to ₹3,000/month for elderly, widows, disabled. |
| Farmer Support | Mandis to be revived; fair prices, easy fertilizer access. |

| Corruption-Free Governance | Strict action against bribe-taking officials. |
| First 20 Days Action | One major promise fulfilled within 20 days of forming government. |
Tejashwi’s Sharp Attack on NDA
- Nitish a “Puppet”: “BJP and corrupt officers have turned CM Nitish Kumar into a showpiece. Amit Shah already said – NDA legislature party will decide CM, not Nitish.”
- NDA Has No CM Face: “We declared our leader. NDA still hiding theirs.”
- Visionless NDA: “They have no blueprint for next 5 years. Only negative politics.”
- Election Manipulation Fear: “1,500 CAPF companies deployed. Slow polling planned in Mahagathbandhan strongholds with 60%+ votes. But people won’t let vote theft happen.”
Allies Speak Up
- Mukesh Sahni (VIP): “NDA has no manifesto – they think Bihar is already prosperous. But people want change.”
- Dipankar Bhattacharya (CPI-ML): “Promises are binding. Old pension, mandi system, ₹3,000 pension – all will be delivered.”
- Pawan Khera (Congress): “This is not just a manifesto – it’s our oath.”
- IP Gupta & CPI(M): “20 years of Nitish rule = poverty, crime, inflation, atrocities on Dalits. Bihar will change now.”
Tejashwi’s Emotional Appeal
“Some external forces want to colonize Bihar. We won’t let that happen.
When a Bihari resolves something, he achieves it.
On November 14, a new government will create jobs within Bihar – no one will be forced to leave home.”
The manifesto release marks a high-voltage start to Mahagathbandhan’s campaign. With unemployment, migration, and women’s safety as core issues, Tejashwi positioned the alliance as the “real alternative” against a “visionless, puppet-led NDA.”
