Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira Twitter Review: Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan Starrer Gets Mixed Reactions from Viewers

Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira (OKCK), the latest romantic comedy drama directed by Althaf Salim, hit theatres on August 29, 2025. Starring Fahadh Faasil and Kalyani Priyadarshan in the lead roles, the film has received a flurry of reactions on social media, especially on X (formerly Twitter).

This marks Althaf Salim’s second directorial after Njandukalude Nattil Oridavela (2017), and fans were eagerly awaiting its release. But the reactions are mixed.

One user praised the film, tweeting, “This movie is a beautiful blend of comedy, drama, and romance, with stunning visuals and catchy music. Kalyani shines in her role, bringing depth and emotion. Fahadh complements her well. A must-watch.”

Another netizen said, “#OdumKuthiraChaadumKuthira Fafa goes with his hilarious flow. Bit lengthy first half but still engaging. Lal steals the show. KP good.”

However, not all reviews were glowing. A critical viewer posted, “Watched Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira. Disappointing from Althaf. Technically strong visuals, but poor script. Entire second half is a bore. Lal stands out. Fafa okay. Flashback in the first half was fun, but humor mostly fell flat. Below average.”

Another shared, “A bit over-the-top with exaggerated characters. First half had some entertaining moments, but the second half drags. May not appeal to general audience.”

About the film:
Odum Kuthira Chaadum Kuthira (meaning Horse that runs, Horse that jumps) revolves around Eby, a man grappling with the pressure of family expectations. After getting abandoned at his wedding, he meets Nidhi, a lively, ambitious woman facing struggles of her own. Just as things start looking up, Eby’s past resurfaces, triggering a journey filled with emotional chaos, dry wit, and slapstick comedy.

The movie features a strong ensemble cast including Revathi Pillai, Dhyan Sreenivasan, Idavela Babu, Niranjana Anoop, Lal, Vinay Forrt, and others. Produced by Ashiq Usman under Ashiq Usman Productions, the film’s music is composed by Justin Varghese, with Jinto George handling cinematography and Nidhin Raj Arol on editing.
