Accusations Rock Patna
The Bihar MLA poaching row triggers a fresh storm in the state. The NDA formed the government with a huge majority. Yet political tension rises again. BSP now claims that the ruling side tries to break its only MLA. This claim spreads shock in political circles.
BSP won a single seat in the recent Bihar Assembly elections. Ramgarh MLA Satish Kumar Singh Yadav defeated BJP’s Ashok Kumar Singh by just 30 votes. The narrow win lifts the party’s morale. Yet the new allegation creates fresh worries for BSP.
BSP Holds Urgent Meeting in Patna
BSP leaders hold a meeting on 26 November at Maharaja Complex in Patna. National Coordinator Akash Anand leads the session. He stresses party unity and loyalty. He says the party will fight every attempt that aims to break its lawmakers.
Bihar in-charge Anil Kumar makes a strong claim. He says the ruling side contacts BSP’s MLA again and again. He also says the ruling alliance wants to pull Satish Yadav towards their camp. He asserts that the MLA won’t bend under pressure or greed.
Why BSP Fears Another Defection
The party recalls its painful history. In 2020, BSP MLA Mohammed Jama Khan won the Chainpur seat. In 2021, he left BSP and joined JD(U). Nitish Kumar rewarded him with a cabinet post. He became the Minority Welfare Minister. Jama Khan won again this year on a JD(U) ticket and continues as a minister. He remains the only Muslim face in the NDA cabinet.
This history increases BSP’s fear. It believes the same pattern may repeat in 2025. Party leaders discuss the issue in detail during the review meeting. They say they will protect the organisation and block any defection plan from the ruling side.
