A massive terror tragedy was averted in Jammu & Kashmir after the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) neutralised a Pakistan-backed militant plan targeting the Uri hydroelectric power project. The operation, now being hailed as the victory of the “19 Bahadur” — the CISF personnel at the site — showcased exceptional bravery, coordination, and quick action under pressure.
The incident unfolded when heavily armed militants attempted to infiltrate the hydro plant area during pre-dawn hours. Intelligence inputs had earlier warned of possible attempts by Pakistan-supported groups to disrupt critical infrastructure in the region.
