A chilling new video featuring Dr. Umar Un Nabi, the prime accused in the deadly Red Fort car blast near Delhi’s historic monument, has gone viral on social media. In the footage, recorded before the November 10, 2025, explosion that killed 15 people and injured 28, Umar speaks fluent English with a calm demeanor, defending suicide bombings as a “very misunderstood concept” and reframing them as legitimate “martyrdom operations” in Islam.
The 1.5-minute clip shows Umar seated alone in a dimly lit room, his gaze steady as he addresses common misconceptions. “One of the very misunderstood concepts is what people label as suicide bombing,” he says, arguing that it involves a deliberate acceptance of death at a specific time and place, rooted in faith. He dismisses fears of suicide as forbidden in Islam but insists such acts qualify as “shahadat” or martyrdom, urging others not to fear death. Investigators believe the video, recovered during raids on the Faridabad terror module, was meant to radicalize recruits and confirms the blast was intentional, not accidental.
Radicalized Mindset: From Doctor to Bomber
Umar, a 32-year-old doctor from Pulwama, Kashmir, emerged as the most radicalized figure in the Jaish-e-Mohammed-linked “white collar” cell, which stockpiled 2,900 kg of ammonium nitrate in Faridabad. Originally quiet and bookish, his behavior shifted dramatically after October 2025—he skipped university duties, frequented Delhi mosques, and traveled to Turkey with associate Dr. Muzammil Ganaie. The video’s composed tone underscores a new breed of educated, calculated terrorists, per NIA sources.
The clip’s origin remains unclear, but Delhi Police and NIA are verifying its authenticity amid a widening probe into planned drone strikes and rocket attacks. It negates theories of an inadvertent detonation, revealing meticulous preparation akin to the 2019 Pulwama bombing. For the full video analysis. The blast’s aftermath continues to haunt Old Delhi, where shattered shops and grieving families demand justice.
