A courageous gang-rape survivor in Uttar Pradesh’s Bulandshahr district dramatically intercepted Deputy Inspector General (DIG) Akhilesh Singh’s vehicle on November 15, 2025, pushing past police barriers to plead for justice. The viral video captures her emotional confrontation, where she detailed the assault by six men and urged swift arrests of the two absconding accused.
The incident unfolded outside the local police station when the survivor arrived to meet the DIG. Male and female officers initially blocked her, citing protocols, but she slipped through and flagged down his car. Stepping out, DIG Singh listened intently as she recounted her ordeal.
Survivor’s Direct Plea: “Six People Brutally Raped Me”
“Sir, six people brutally raped me sometime back,” she said, voice trembling.
“Have they been put in jail?” the DIG asked.
“Four of them have been jailed; two are absconding,” she replied.
She accused local police of inaction: “I approached them, but my pleas fell on deaf ears. They even chase my brother to thrash him.” The DIG immediately summoned the Circle Officer (CO) and directed, “Call the CO here—help her out and do what’s required.”
He assured her: “All remaining accused will be arrested soon and sent to jail. Justice will be done.”
Assault Details and Police Response
The woman was allegedly gang-raped by six men a few days ago in a rural Bulandshahr pocket. Four suspects have been arrested and remanded to judicial custody, while two remain at large. Police have intensified raids, deploying special teams with surveillance and informant networks.
The video, shared by family and locals on X (@thenewspeddlers), has exploded with over 1 million views, trending under #JusticeForBulandshahrSurvivor. Outrage focuses on police obstruction and delays, with activists praising her bravery.
DIG Singh confirmed the directive: “We’ve escalated the case. The fugitives will be behind bars soon—no compromise on women’s safety.”
This case adds to Uttar Pradesh’s 2025 gender violence concerns, with authorities vowing zero tolerance. The survivor, under protection, awaits closure as the manhunt continues.
