Bihar Election Results 2025: JD(U) Clinches Second Win in Alauli as Ram Chandra Sada Defeats RJD’s Rambriksh Sada by 35,732 Votes

JD(U) candidate Ram Chandra Sada has secured a resounding victory in the Alauli assembly constituency, marking the party’s second declared win in Bihar’s 2025 Assembly elections. Sada, a former minister and SC leader, polled 93,208 votes to triumph over RJD’s Rambriksh Sada’s 57,476, with a decisive margin of 35,732 votes. This SC-reserved seat in Khagaria district, which went to polls on November 6 with 66.2% turnout, flips from RJD’s 2020 hold and bolsters Nitish Kumar’s NDA amid its statewide sweep of over 210 seats.

Alauli, part of the Khagaria Lok Sabha segment, saw five candidates in the fray, including Jan Suraaj Party’s Abhishank Kumar and RLJP’s Yash Raj, but NDA’s EBC and SC consolidation proved decisive. Sada, who switched from RJD to JD(U) in 2020, built an early lead of 4,167 votes after initial rounds, surging to 40,184 by round 10 before sealing the win.

JD(U)’s Strong Start: Five Wins and Counting

This victory adds to JD(U)’s growing tally of declared seats, following Maheshwar Hazari’s win in Kalyanpur (38,586-vote margin). Other JD(U) triumphs include Hari Narayan Singh in Harnaut (48,335 margin, 106,954 votes), Anant Kumar Singh in Mokama (28,206 margin), and Manorama Devi in Belaganj (~20,000 margin). With leads on 84 seats overall, JD(U) trails BJP’s 95 but cements Nitish’s fifth term bid in the NDA’s dominant performance. RJD’s Rambriksh, who won narrowly in 2020 (2,773 margin), managed 32.69% vote share last time but faltered against NDA’s development push.

Final ECI tally; total valid votes: ~1.95 lakh. NDA swept all four Khagaria seats, with JD(U) taking Alauli, Beldaur, and Khagaria, and LJP(RV) Parbatta.

Sada’s 2010 win here (17,523 margin over LJP’s Pashupati Paras) highlights his enduring appeal in this migrant-heavy, remittance-driven seat. Opposition cries of “voter manipulation” via SIR persist, but NDA hails it as a “su-shasan” mandate.
