Historic India-Pakistan Asia Cup Final Today: Winner to Bag Massive Prize Money

For the first time in the 41-year history of the Asia Cup, India and Pakistan will face off in the final today, Sunday, September 28, 2025. India has dominated Pakistan twice in the current tournament and remains unbeaten, making them the favorites. However, Pakistan will be eager to clinch the title in this high-stakes clash.

A Historic Showdown

The Asia Cup, which began in 1984, transitioned to the T20 format in 2016. India has won the tournament a record eight times, while Pakistan has secured the title twice, and Sri Lanka six times. Despite the rich history, India and Pakistan have never met in an Asia Cup final until now. India’s strong performance, including two victories over Pakistan in this edition, sets the stage for an intense battle, with Pakistan facing an uphill challenge to claim the trophy.

Reports suggest the winning team will earn $300,000 (approximately ₹2.6 crore), while the runner-up will take home $150,000. The Asian Cricket Council (ACC) has not officially confirmed these figures. In comparison, the 2023 Asia Cup saw the winning team (India) receive $150,000 (₹1.24 crore).
