Israelis Report Hearing Gaza Bombings in Central Regions Amid Escalating Conflict

Israeli political commentator Ori Goldberg has highlighted the intensity of Israel’s ongoing military operations in Gaza, stating that the sounds of bombings are audible even in central parts of the country. In a post on X, Goldberg described the actions as amounting to “annihilation” and “genocide,” underscoring the scale of the bombardment.

Echoing this sentiment, former Israeli captive Arbel Yehoud, who was released from Gaza and is currently protesting outside Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s residence in Jerusalem, shared a personal account. “My Ariel is in real danger,” she said, referring to her boyfriend, Ariel Cunio, who remains held hostage in Gaza, as reported by The Times of Israel. Yehoud added, “The sounds of the explosions from Gaza shake the walls of my home and the chambers of my heart,” emphasizing the emotional and physical toll of the conflict on those with loved ones still captive.

These accounts come amid Israel’s intensified offensive in Gaza, including recent evacuation orders for Gaza City and vows from Defence Minister Israel Katz to continue strikes “with an iron fist” until Hamas is defeated and hostages are freed. The reports of audible explosions in central Israel illustrate the proximity and ferocity of the operations, which have displaced hundreds of thousands and exacerbated the humanitarian crisis in the region.
