UP Couple’s Bike Stunt Goes Viral; Rider Fined ₹2,500 in Gorakhpur
A video from Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh, showing a couple flouting traffic rules has gone viral, sparking safety concerns. The clip, shot on Nauka Vihar Road in the Ramgarhtal area, shows a man riding a bike while a woman sits on the fuel tank facing him and hugging him as they move through traffic.
Police traced the vehicle and fined the rider ₹2,500 for violating traffic and public safety norms, SP Traffic Sanjay Kumar said. The couple has not yet been identified, though police confirmed the arrest of the person who uploaded the clip online.
Similar incidents have previously drawn outrage, including cases from Pune and the Noida–Greater Noida Expressway, where couples were filmed in the same manner and heavily fined for endangering public safety
