Greater Noida: 3 Dead, 3 Injured in Car-Truck Collision on Eastern Peripheral Expressway

Greater Noida:
A tragic road accident late Thursday night claimed three lives and left three others injured on the Eastern Peripheral Expressway (EPE) near Akbarpur Toll Plaza in Greater Noida. The mishap occurred around 10 pm under the jurisdiction of Dadri police station when a car carrying six passengers collided with a truck.

Victims identified
Police confirmed that the deceased have been identified as Gaurav, a resident of Kosikalan in Mathura who was driving the car, along with Lokesh and Gautam from Faridabad. The injured—Lalit, Harvinder, and Kuldeep—are also residents of Faridabad and are currently undergoing treatment in hospital. Their condition is reported to be stable.

Police action
Dadri police station in-charge Arvind Kumar said the bodies have been sent for postmortem. Both the car and the truck involved in the collision have been seized. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the crash.

Similar accident in Rajasthan
The incident comes just a day after another fatal road accident in Rajasthan’s Bundi district, where four labourers were killed and five others injured after their van rammed into a truck on NH-27 near Sutada village.
