Gurugram: A firing incident at the home of YouTuber and Bigg Boss OTT 2 winner Elvish Yadav has once again thrown light on the risks that come with online fame. According to reports, multiple rounds were fired at his Gurugram residence on August 17, prompting police investigation.
Elvish’s father lodged an FIR, stating: “At 5:25 am, several rounds were fired on the ground and first floors from above the main gate of our house. CCTV footage confirms the attack. The miscreants arrived on a bike. This was an attempt to kill our family.”
Gangsters Claim Responsibility
As per early reports, more than two dozen shots were fired at Yadav’s house. Soon after, members of the Bhau gang — identified as Neeraj Faridpuria and Bhau Bhau Ritoliya — claimed responsibility for the attack. Gurugram Police have begun probe into the matter.
Fame and Its Perils
The incident underscores the darker side of stardom, where social media influencers often become targets for gangs, stalkers, and rivals. Popular creators such as Elvish Yadav or CarryMinati, who flaunt their lifestyles online, are seen as easy marks.
A Career Marred by Controversies
Since his Bigg Boss victory, Elvish Yadav has been in the headlines as much for controversies as for his content. He was earlier arrested in a snake venom case and has faced FIRs in drug-related and betting app cases.
Yet, despite the legal troubles, Yadav’s popularity remains intact. From reality show appearances on Bigg Boss and Celebrity Chef to flashy lifestyle videos, his public profile continues to thrive — even as threats to his safety mount.
