The official teaser for filmmaker Anurag Kashyap’s new film, “Nishaanchi,” has been released, promising a high-octane action drama. The film is creating a buzz as it marks the acting debut of Aaishvary Thackeray, the grandson of late political leader Balasaheb Thackeray. Set to hit theaters on September 19, 2025, the 90-second teaser was released by Amazon MGM Studios India and has been met with excitement from fans and fellow filmmakers.
The film stars Aaishvary Thackeray in a double role, alongside Monika Panwar, Vedika Pinto, and Mohd Zeeshan Ayyub. The story revolves around twin brothers with identical appearances but contrasting values, who navigate themes of brotherhood, betrayal, love, and redemption. The teaser’s raw, rustic feel has led many social media users to draw comparisons to Kashyap’s popular cult film, Gangs of Wasseypur.
